This piece is basically about earth being invaded by a higher extraterrestrial race. Air Force One is being ripped apart while massive motherships strip the Earths surface of our presence.

The 747 was a basic (and quite unaccurate) stock model i was provided with (for an old work project), i slapped some simple materials on it, rendered it in Brazil and began photoshopping it into submission The rest of the ships were modelled in max as simple low poly meshes that were then modified/painted over in PS. The various atmospheric effects were also painted in PS.

Based on the world of EVE (www.eve-online.com). This piece is centered around the invasion of a system by a hostile Minmatar fleet. The defenders are the Amarr and Caldari, 2 other races in the EVE universe.

95% of the work was done in photoshop with some preliminary rendering done in 3dsmax (planets & moons). Most everything was hand painted with the exception of some nebulai/cloud imagery gathered from various NASA sites. The working size for this image is 5400*2636, it was made to print.
